Colossians 2:6-8 NIV [8] See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. https://bible.com/bible/111/col.2.8.NIV 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV [12] Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. https://bible.com/bible/111/1ti.4.12.NIV Have more than the surface level faith. Not at once but let it happen gradually Unseen growth is real growth. Roots are everything. Though you received Christ, it's time to be deeply rooted. It is a continuous process. If I am deeply rooted, I won't be easily swayed. Have an intimate relationship with God. Seek everyday to know God and be grounded. Career, prayer life etc. Lift before God. So as to stand test of time.
March 15 - Rev Were Sunday sermon - UNDERSTANDING TIMES AND SEASONS.
UNDERSTANDING TIMES AND SEASONS. Ecclessiates 3:1-7:... Time for every matter under heaven. 2Kings 5:18-24 - But he said to him, go in peace. But Gehazi son of Elisha run to Naaman to get something from him. Was it a time to accept orchards, ornaments and money? We will only fulfill the call and purpose that God has given us if we understand the time and season. That's how we remain relevant. To become a blessing to my nieces and nephews. God doesn't want me to remain the way I am. He wants me to grow. But I will only grow if I understand the time and season. Disadvantages of not understanding times and seasons we are in: 1. Attract destruction and curses (Gehazi became a leper) 2. You miss the divine plan for your life. (Matt 23/24) 3. Being stagnant in life. Slow or little progress in achieving milestones. We are born in same families, lead similar lives, but we're called for different missions.

Story of Hannah 1 Samuel 1:11 Psalms 113:8 - He seats them with princes. How many testimonies do you have. Hannah shows us the importance of praying with persistence, even in the face of disappointments. It doesn't mean God has stopped listening to you. The Lord listens to the soft prayer. Encourage yourself so as to encourage others. That's why some people sound like they only have bad to say because that's how they talk to themselves. Your humility in the presence of the Lord is what matters. God loves to surprise people. When Hannah went home from the temple, her house must have looked the same, but everything was actually changed. Our story will change, God will surely show us how good it can get. Jonah 3:1 - Warns Nineveh and they repent getting another chance. Luke 13:6 - The fruit tree given another year of care to bear fruit. We haven't done anything to 'deserve' a new year 2026. He has give me us this year We serve a God of another chance. This is why our theme is Restoration by divine speed. He has given us another chance so that we can improve. Philipians 3:1-10. Paul was chosen to be a better Paul. To build the church than to persecute it. Improve on how we spend our time. This is my one and only resolution. Digital Balance reveals a lot on our screen on time. Psalms 27:4 Dwell in the house of the lord. There is no better use of Time than spending time with the Lord. Luke 13:6-7 : cut the fig tree down, why should it use the ground. Let it grow another year sir, with even better conditions. If not growing , you can cut it down. God has given us another year to improve. Our lives are measured by time. He has given us another opportunity to increase our faith in Him. Math 8 26 : why are you afraid? All you of little faith. Go from hearers to doers of His word. Luke 17: 5-6 - Lord increase our faith Genesis 12:1 - I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. Abraham left to a foreign country as he trusted in God. Daniel 3: 1 Promises become reality when we believe Luke 5:1-11 had been fishing throughout the night and caught nothing till Jesus gave direction. We can improve by trusting God to make us better. God has given us another chance so that we can improve our relationship with Him. Genesis 5:24 - Story of Enoch and how he walked with God till he was no more. Isaiah 41:8, James 2:23- Abraham the friend of God.
